- Do all chemical reactions produce heat?
Experimental Design:
What we're going to do is:
- React 5 g Baking Soda with 50 mL of Citric Acid and measure the temperature of citric acid before and after the reaction.
- React 5 g Calcium Chloride with 50 mL of water and measure the temperature of the water before and after the reaction.
- Record our results.
- Minutes 0-2 will constitute before the reaction.
- Then we'll react the powder with the liquid.
- Minutes 3-6 will constitute after the reaction.
- Minutes 0-2 will constitute before the reaction.
Results:
Claim: Answer the question from above.
Evidence: Support your answer with some specific data from above.
Reasoning: Explain what you think is going on in the reaction that would make this happen the way it did.
